Peruvian Connection Selects Downtown Site for D.C. Market Entry
Madison Retail Group Helps Secure 3,600 Square Feet in Atlantic Building
WASHINGTON, DC (October 22, 2007) – Madison Retail Group announced today that Peruvian Connection has signed a lease to occupy 3,300 square feet on the ground floor and lower level of the Atlantic Building located at 950 F. Street, NW in downtown Washington, DC. The transaction was brokered by Madison Retail Group's Eric Rubin who has been working closely with Marvin Cooper Consulting and Peruvian Connection to identify the retail concept's first location in the area.
Founded
in 1976, Peruvian Connection offers exquisite handcrafted garments
primarily through its catalog and website. The new location will only
be the company's fifth retail outlet. It is expected to open in Spring
2008.
"Peruvian Connection's international flare will be right
at home in the emerging downtown retail corridor," said Eric Rubin,
Principal of Madison Retail Group. Mr. Rubin has brokered a number of
recent transactions in downtown Washington, including recent deals for
Zara, West Elm and Madame Tussauds.
